Senior Accounts Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Financial Controller (Senior Retail Accountant) to oversee our financial health. You will manage everything from daily POS reconciliations to long-term financial forecasting and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Areas

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting

Maintain up-to-date Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.

Reconcile daily sales, returns, and inventory transactions across multiple retail channels.

Prepare monthly financial reports and performance summaries for executive management.

Inventory & Expense Management

Monitor inventory turnover rates and assess the value of on-hand stock.

Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and develop action plans for liquidation or discounting.

Review expense reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis

Analyze sales trends and gross margins to provide strategic business insights.

Develop annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts specifically for the fashion retail cycle.

Monitor budget vs. actual performance to ensure strict cost control.

Compliance, Audit, and Cash Management

Ensure compliance with retail accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.

Manage daily cash flow, banking relationships, and optimize the company's cash position.

Coordinate external financial audits and ensure data accuracy.

Candidate Requirements (Qualifications)

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years in Retail Finance, Accounting, or a similar domain.

Pay

₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
