Job Description

GIRAH Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse with Palliative Care experience to provide professional nursing care to patients in their homes.

The nurse will support patients with serious, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses, with a strong focus on comfort, symptom management, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide palliative nursing care at the patient's home
• Monitor vital signs and changes in the patient's condition
• Administer medications as prescribed by the treating doctor
• Assist with pain and symptom management according to the care plan
• Provide wound care, catheter care, feeding support, and other nursing procedures when required
• Support bedridden and mobility-restricted patients
• Assist with Ryles/NG tube feeding and related care when required
• Observe and promptly report changes in the patient's condition
• Coordinate with doctors, family members, and GIRAH Care
• Maintain accurate nursing and patient-care records
• Educate and guide family members regarding appropriate patient care
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families
• Follow infection-control, hygiene, patient-safety, and confidentiality standards

Requirements

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent recognized nursing qualification
• Valid nursing registration
• Previous experience in palliative care is required
• Experience in home healthcare, hospice, ICU, oncology, geriatric care, or long-term care is preferred
• Comfortable caring for bedridden and seriously ill patients
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
• Willing to provide care at the patient's home

Preferred Skills

Experience with palliative and end-of-life care, pain and symptom monitoring, wound care, catheter care, NG/Ryles tube feeding, oxygen support, bedridden patient care, and elderly care will be an advantage.
