Assistant Store Manager / Assistant Manager – Retail Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations . Supervise and motivate the sales team to achieve sales and revenue targets . Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction . Monitor store sales, conversion, average transaction value and other KPIs. Handle staff scheduling, attendance, grooming and discipline . Support recruitment, training and onboarding of new team members. Ensure proper visual merchandising and store presentation . Monitor inventory, stock movement, replenishment and stock accuracy. Coordinate with the warehouse and management team for stock requirements. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally. Ensure proper billing, cash handling and daily closing procedures. Monitor loss prevention, shrinkage and operational compliance . Prepare and share daily/weekly sales and operational reports. Maintain company policies, SOPs, hygiene and safety standards. Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager. Candidate RequirementsGraduate preferred; candidates with relevant retail experience can also apply. 2–5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a supervisory or team-lead role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of sales, customer service and store operations . Ability to manage and motivate a team. Good numerical and analytical skills. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and POS systems . Flexible to work in shifts, weekends and holidays. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
