Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable Storekeeper / Store Supervisor to manage receipt, storage, issue and record-keeping of raw materials, consumables, spares and finished goods at our aluminium foil manufacturing plant. The role ensures accurate inventory, smooth material availability for production and compliance with company systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials (aluminium coils, packaging material, spares, consumables), verify against PO/challan and inspect for quantity and visible damage.
• Prepare and process GRN (Goods Receipt Note) accurately and on time.
• Store materials in designated locations with proper identification, labelling and FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Issue materials to production and maintenance against authorized requisitions and maintain issue records.
• Maintain daily stock registers and update ERP/inventory software.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification, cycle counts and reconcile variances with system records.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and raise timely indent/requisitions to the Purchase department.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and Accounts for material availability, rejections and returns.
• Handle dispatch of finished goods: packing checks, loading supervision, and preparation of dispatch documents (challan, e-way bill support, gate pass).
• Supervise store helpers, loaders and forklift/crane operators; allocate daily tasks.
• Ensure housekeeping, safety and fire-safety norms in the warehouse; maintain safe stacking and handling of coils and heavy materials.
• Track slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete items and report them to management.
• Support internal and statutory audits with accurate documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate (B.Com / B.Sc / any stream) or Diploma in Materials Management / Supply Chain; ITI/Diploma preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience in stores/warehouse in a manufacturing plant (aluminium, metal, packaging or process industry preferred), including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies

• Working knowledge of ERP/inventory software (SAP/Tally/other) and MS Excel.
• Understanding of inventory control, GRN, stock reconciliation, FIFO and basic GST/e-way bill documentation.
• Good record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of material handling equipment (forklift, EOT crane) and safe storage practices.
• Team supervision and communication skills in Hindi and Gujarati; basic English.

Working Conditions

• Plant-based role, general shift (rotational shift if required).
• Physical presence on the shop floor/warehouse; may involve extended standing and coordinating heavy material movement.

Pay

₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
