Purchase Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for raw materials, consumables, maintenance items, and services. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, purchase planning, inventory control, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requisitions.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, and maintenance items.
• Develop and manage suppliers for raw materials such as Copper, Brass, Plastic, and engineering components.
• Identify and onboard new vendors for plating, surface treatment, CNC machining, power press, hand press, transport, and other manufacturing services.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Maintain Reorder Levels (ROL) and monitor KANBAN inventory systems.
• Coordinate with Production Planning (PPC), Stores, Quality, NPD, and Accounts departments.
• Monitor pending purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Handle import procurement activities, coordinate with freight forwarders and CHA, and manage import documentation.
• Visit suppliers regularly for vendor development, audits, and relationship management.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through alternate vendor development and commercial negotiations.

Skills \& Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement within the manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous, and plastic raw materials.
• Understanding of press tools, die sets, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay

₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
