Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Civil Construction to lead end-to-end construction operations, project planning, execution, budgeting, cost optimization, quality control, and team management. The candidate must have extensive experience across all major aspects of civil construction, with a proven ability to deliver projects within defined budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end civil construction activities, from project planning and mobilization to execution and handover.
• Develop project schedules, construction strategies, resource plans, and execution methodologies.
• Lead and manage project managers, site engineers, billing engineers, planning engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and effective utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and other resources.
• Review project budgets, BOQs, rate analysis, estimates, tender documents, and contractor bills.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, billing, procurement coordination, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Identify project risks, resolve execution challenges, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, contractors, and senior management.
• Establish project monitoring systems, MIS reports, KPIs, and periodic progress reviews.
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality, safety, and profitability.
• Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and best practices across construction projects.

Candidate Requirements

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 15–20 years of overall experience in civil construction, with substantial experience managing large-scale projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of all major construction functions, including planning, execution, billing, estimation, procurement coordination, quality, and cost control.
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple project activities.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize construction costs, improve productivity, and deliver projects within approved budgets and timelines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making skills.

A result-oriented construction professional with strong technical expertise, strategic planning capabilities, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead teams, optimize costs, and drive overall project performance.
