Staff Nurse - Labour room

Seeking Experienced Candidates.

Qualification : BSc/ GNM

KNMC Registration is mandatory

Experience : 4-5 years of relevant experience is required

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to all patients admitted to the ward.

• Patient Assessment: Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and promptly report any changes to the treating doctor.

• Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following medication safety protocols.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, medication charts, and other clinical documentation.

• Admission and Discharge: Assist with patient admission, transfer, discharge procedures, and patient education.

• Infection Control: Follow hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, and infection prevention protocols.

• Treatment and Procedures: Assist doctors during bedside procedures and carry out prescribed nursing interventions.

• Patient Safety: Ensure patient identification, fall prevention, pressure injury prevention, and safe handling of patients.

• Emergency Management: Recognize clinical deterioration and respond promptly to medical emergencies.

• Coordination: Coordinate with doctors, nursing supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatment plans, hygiene, and follow-up care.

• Ward Management: Ensure the availability of nursing equipment, supplies, and emergency materials, and report any deficiencies.

• Handover: Provide accurate shift handovers, communicating patient status, pending investigations, and ongoing treatment.

• Quality and Compliance: Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and applicable NABH requirements.
