Finance & Operations Manager - Dry Fruits Retail Chain

About us

Sans Global Private Limited runs Fissans, a growing chain of dry fruit and nut stores in Kerala – 2 stores in Trivandrum and 1 in Palakkad – with new stores planned in Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kottayam. We need one strong person to take full charge of the numbers and operations of the business, so the current stores are profitable and under control and the new stores open on a sound system.

Location

Kochi (Ernakulam office), with regular travel to the stores in Trivandrum and Palakkad and to new store locations.

What you will own

Inventory control – accurate stock in every store and the warehouse: GRN, FIFO/FEFO, wastage and expiry tracking, monthly physical stock counts and fixing any variances.

Pricing and margins – set and control selling prices and margins for each product, make sure the right prices are used at the billing counter, and stop leakage from discounts or wrong prices.

Monthly P&L for each store – sales, cost of goods sold, gross margin, expenses and net profit, closed and reported to the management by the 10th of every month.

Daily sales and cash control – cash and UPI reconciliation, bank deposits, daily sales MIS and stock-movement reports.

Purchase – vendor sourcing and negotiation, purchase orders and reorder levels, so stores neither run out of stock nor overstock.

Store operations and team – store managers and staff report to you; set targets, SOPs, schedules and accountability, and visit the stores regularly.

Expansion – site feasibility and budgets for new stores, set-up and opening, and putting the same system in place from day one.

Compliance – GST, billing/POS/ERP discipline, FSSAI licences, and support to the accounts team and auditors.

Who we are looking for

8+ years in retail or FMCG, including 3+ years as a store, area or operations manager in charge of multiple outlets.

Strong finance base

P&L, inventory accounting, costing and margins, GST; Tally and POS/ERP; good Excel.

Experience in food, dry fruits, nuts, spices, supermarket or bakery retail strongly preferred.

Proven record of fixing stock and margin problems, setting up systems and leading teams. Please give numbers in your CV: outlets handled, team size, results.

Willing to work from Kochi and travel to the stores.

Malayalam and English required.

Education

B.Com / M.Com / MBA; CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus.
