Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Tandoori Cook at the Commis I level with strong expertise in preparing tandoori dishes, breads, kebabs, and other items cooked in a tandoor. The candidate should be able to manage tandoor operations while maintaining food quality, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tandoori dishes, kebabs, tikka, and other menu items.
• Prepare and marinate vegetables, paneer, chicken, and other ingredients as required.
• Prepare Indian breads such as naan, roti, kulcha, and tandoori paratha.
• Operate and maintain the tandoor safely and efficiently.
• Monitor cooking temperatures and cooking times.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of ingredients and marinades.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tandoor section.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.
• Follow kitchen safety and food hygiene standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in tandoori cooking.
• Strong knowledge of tandoor operations and cooking techniques.
• Expertise in preparing tandoori breads, kebabs, and tikka.
• Knowledge of marination, seasoning, and temperature control.
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to handle high-volume orders during peak hours.
• Good teamwork and time management skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in hotel kitchens, Indian restaurants, or commercial kitchens.
