Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Executive to support and manage day-to-day procurement activities for our alcohol manufacturing plant, maintenance, construction, real-estate projects, and office requirements.

The candidate should have good vendor coordination, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills. An engineering background will be preferred, especially for candidates handling plant, machinery, maintenance, and project-related purchases.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day purchase and procurement requirements for plant, projects, maintenance, construction, and office requirements.

Identify and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.

Collect and compare quotations from different vendors.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery timelines, and other commercial terms.

Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.

Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials and services.

Coordinate with plant, project, maintenance, accounts, and administration teams regarding purchase requirements.

Procure engineering and maintenance items such as spare parts, electrical items, pumps, pipes, fittings, tools, safety equipment, fabrication materials, and other plant requirements.

Assist with purchases related to civil work, construction, interiors, infrastructure, and real-estate projects.

Maintain vendor records, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement documents.

Track pending orders and ensure timely closure of purchase requirements.

Coordinate with Accounts regarding vendor invoices, payments, outstanding issues, and documentation.

Visit vendors, markets, plant sites, and project locations whenever required.

Support vendor development and identify new and reliable suppliers.

Assist in controlling purchase costs and identifying better-priced alternatives without compromising quality.

Prepare regular purchase status and pending-order reports for management.

Ensure all purchases are made as per approved requirements, budgets, and management instructions.

Candidate Profile

B.E./B.Tech preferred, especially Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.

1–5 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, Vendor Management, or a related role.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, distillery/alcohol, construction, infrastructure, or real estate will be an advantage.

Good understanding of engineering materials, machinery, spare parts, construction materials, and general procurement.

Strong vendor coordination and negotiation skills.

Good follow-up and communication skills.

Ability to compare quotations and understand commercial terms.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic purchase documentation.

Ability to handle multiple purchase requirements and follow up independently.

Willingness to travel to vendors, plant, and project locations when required.

Should be responsible, proactive, and comfortable coordinating directly with senior management.
