Job Description

Cubes International Logistics is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Operations Manager – Freight Forwarding to join our growing team in Kochi. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage daily operational activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end import and export shipments across sea freight and air freight.

Handle FCL, LCL, and air cargo shipments, including booking, documentation, tracking, and delivery coordination.

Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, transporters, overseas agents, and customers.

Prepare and verify shipping documents, including HBL/MBL, AWB, Shipping Bills, commercial invoices, and packing lists.

Monitor shipment milestones, vessel schedules, cargo movements, and delivery timelines.

Resolve operational issues, shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer escalations.

Supervise daily activities of the operations team, allocate tasks, and monitor productivity.

Support the Operations Manager in reporting, performance monitoring, and process improvement.

Monitor operational costs, service quality, and compliance with company procedures.

Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

2–4 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.

Strong knowledge of end-to-end import and export procedures.

Practical experience in sea freight, air freight, FCL, and LCL shipments.

Good knowledge of shipping documentation and customs-related procedures.

Prior team-handling or supervisory experience will be an advantage.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet strict deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and logistics-related software.

A degree or diploma in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
