HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR – JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports To

Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, Public Area Cleaners, and Laundry Staff.
• Allocate daily duties and ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently and on time.
• Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
• Ensure rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and ready for guest arrival.
• Handle guest housekeeping requests and resolve minor complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, VIP rooms, special requests, and guest requirements.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department and follow up for timely rectification.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, guest amenities, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are used correctly and safely.
• Train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene, safety, and hotel standards.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and work performance.
• Maintain proper records of linen, supplies, room inspections, and daily housekeeping activities.
• Ensure proper handling and recording of Lost \& Found items as per hotel policy.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, cleanliness, and guest service.
• Maintain good coordination with all hotel departments.
• Report operational issues and departmental requirements to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager.

Pay

₹16,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
