Fiber Technician / OFC Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) networks.
• Perform fiber optic fusion splicing, jointing, and termination.
• Handle single-core and multi-core fiber cables, including 46F and 96F cables.
• Carry out FTTH/FTTx installation and last-mile fiber connectivity.
• Use fusion splicing machines, OTDR, and optical power meters for testing and fault identification.
• Install and maintain fiber joint closures and distribution boxes.
• Identify fiber cuts, signal loss, and connectivity issues and perform necessary restoration work.
• Support OLT connectivity and optical fiber distribution network maintenance.
• Coordinate with team leaders and network support teams to resolve customer and network issues.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards during field operations.
• Complete assigned work within the specified timelines.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing and OFC maintenance.
• Knowledge of FTTH/FTTx networks and fiber termination.
• Familiarity with OTDR, optical power meters, and fusion splicing equipment.
• Ability to identify fiber faults and perform troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work in field locations and travel within assigned areas.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field preferred.
• Candidates with relevant hands-on experience in telecom or ISP networks are encouraged to apply.

Experience Required

• 1–3 years of experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, or OFC maintenance preferred.
• Experience with telecom operators, ISPs, FTTH projects, or cable network providers will be an advantage.

Pay

₹18,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
