Sr. Executive Purchase

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management: Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) to vendors accurately and ensure timely procurement of electrical and electrical automation products as per approved requirements.

Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, authorized distributors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, product availability and timely deliveries.

Quotation & Price Negotiation: Obtain and compare vendor quotations, negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and delivery schedules to optimize purchase costs and margins.

Product & Technical Knowledge: Handle procurement of electrical and automation products, including switchgear, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, cables and related industrial electrical components.

Order Coordination & Follow-up: Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Stores and Accounts teams to ensure timely order execution, material availability and delivery commitments to customers.

Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock availability, pending purchase orders, fast-moving and non-moving items, and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.

Documentation & ERP Management: Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor quotations, purchase orders, delivery schedules and invoices in the ERP/accounting system, including timely updates of pending orders.

Vendor Performance & Issue Resolution: Track supplier performance, resolve shortages, delays, wrong supplies, warranty claims and material discrepancies, and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms.

Cost Control & MIS Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on purchase value, cost savings, pending POs, vendor performance and procurement turnaround time for management review.

Commercial & Payment Coordination: Verify purchase invoices against POs and delivery documents and coordinate with Accounts for payment terms, outstanding balances and vendor reconciliation.

Required Skills & Competencies

4–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a B2B electrical, electrical automation or industrial trading company.

Strong product knowledge of electrical and automation components and familiarity with leading brands and their authorized distribution networks.

Hands-on experience in preparing Purchase Orders, negotiating prices, vendor development and order follow-up.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/accounting software and purchase MIS reporting.

Strong negotiation, analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a target-driven environment while maintaining purchase accuracy, cost efficiency and timely customer order fulfilment.

Pay

₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
