Job Description

GIRAH Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse with Palliative Care experience to provide professional nursing care to patients in their homes.

The nurse will support patients with serious, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses, with a strong focus on comfort, symptom management, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Provide palliative nursing care at the patient's home

Monitor vital signs and changes in the patient's condition

Administer medications as prescribed by the treating doctor

Assist with pain and symptom management according to the care plan

Provide wound care, catheter care, feeding support, and other nursing procedures when required

Support bedridden and mobility-restricted patients

Assist with Ryles/NG tube feeding and related care when required

Observe and promptly report changes in the patient's condition

Coordinate with doctors, family members, and GIRAH Care

Maintain accurate nursing and patient-care records

Educate and guide family members regarding appropriate patient care

Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families

Follow infection-control, hygiene, patient-safety, and confidentiality standards

Requirements

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent recognized nursing qualification

Valid nursing registration

Previous experience in palliative care is required

Experience in home healthcare, hospice, ICU, oncology, geriatric care, or long-term care is preferred

Comfortable caring for bedridden and seriously ill patients

Good communication and patient-handling skills

Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional

Willing to provide care at the patient's home

Preferred Skills

Experience with palliative and end-of-life care, pain and symptom monitoring, wound care, catheter care, NG/Ryles tube feeding, oxygen support, bedridden patient care, and elderly care will be an advantage.
